Ode to Franz Kline

I occasionally like to do scribble drawings that are an ode to a famous artist. A few weeks ago, I decided to do one for Franz Kline. Franz Kline (23 May 1910-13 May 1962) was an American painter born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He is usually referred to as being a part of the Abstract Expressionism movement of the 1940s and 1950s. In this drawing of mine, it was inspired by many of his black and white paintings. My drawing was done with black gel pens on 11"x14" mixed media paper. Stay tuned for more of my 'ode' drawings. Have a great and artful day!
