Title: Abstract 200411
Artist: Troy Thomas
Medium: ink on paper
I originally planned on this being a little more minimalist, with just the bigger rectangle grouping in the middle. When I thought that I was almost done, I noticed a stray ink blotch near the corner of the sheet. It must have gotten transferred from the sheet of paper that I use to put over the drawing to prevent my drawing hand from picking up any wet ink. Therefore, I had to create another rectangle grouping to cover up the mistake, then one more grouping to balance the artwork a little more.
I could always look it the incident like Bob Ross would look at it: There are no mistakes, just happy accidents.
