"Arabian Desert Highway" is a digital reinterpretation of my original 2018 gel pen artwork completed on October 28, 2018. This version preserves the flowing geometric structure of the original while transforming its color, contrast, and hand-drawn surfaces into a richly textured digital composition. Repeated orange bands curve through the central form, bending and shifting direction as they move across the composition. Their closely spaced arrangement creates a strong visual rhythm, while two parallel lines extend from opposite ends and carry the sense of movement beyond the larger central structure. The digital treatment transforms the original gel-pen marks into dense, granular fields of color and irregular texture. Bright orange forms stand prominently against deep violet, blue, and near-black surroundings, while darker interruptions within the orange bands retain traces of the complex mark-making from the source artwork. Although its palette and surface character differ dramatically from the original, "Arabian Desert Highway" retains the underlying repetition, directional flow, and balance between structured geometry and organic movement. The reinterpretation emphasizes those qualities through heightened contrast and a more unified relationship between the repeated bands and surrounding field.
