Vintage, Space-Aged Resolution | Original Ballpoint Pen Fine Art Print

from $35.00
"Vintage, Space-Aged Resolution" is an original nonrepresentational artwork created in 2018 entirely with ballpoint pens. A field of horizontal dark lines moves across a vivid red background, with subtle changes in thickness, spacing, and shape creating a composition that appears orderly from a distance but becomes increasingly irregular upon closer inspection. Many of the dark horizontal forms expand and contract as they travel across the artwork, sometimes narrowing into thin connections before widening again. Near the center, the surrounding shapes gradually open to reveal a larger red area, producing a subtle focal point without interrupting the overall horizontal rhythm. Dense layers of ballpoint pen marks give both the red field and darker forms a richly textured, handmade surface. The contrast between repetition and variation allows the composition to shift between pattern and individual detail, while the elongated forms create a sense of movement across the page. Professionally reproduced as a fine art print, "Vintage, Space-Aged Resolution" preserves the intricate pen texture, saturated color, and subtle variations found throughout the original drawing. Its modest print sizes allow the dense mark-making and small changes within the repeating forms to remain an important part of the viewing experience. An exploration of repetition and variation, where shifting horizontal forms create rhythm, movement, and an unexpected central opening. Fine Art Print Details — Color Vibrancy: Printed using advanced 12-color fine art printing technology for rich, vibrant colors and exceptional tonal depth.
